Name;; Relic
Age;; 5 years
Gender;; male
Breed;; Timber wolf
Element;; Light
Image URL;; Pending
Coat Color;; White tinged lightly with gold
Eye Color;; Right eye is crystal blue and the left is molten amber
Markings;; A blue star over his blue eye and various gold streaks
Build/Size;; Large with powerful hind legs and slightly shaggy fur. He has an elegant, regal bone structure with alert ears and keen eyes.
Personality;; Your first impression of Relic is mainly regal because he very much has the appearance of royalty and when he meets someone, Relic acts it. He carries himself proudly and that is more or less the first portion of his personality. Relic is a proud wolf, though not quite vain. If insulted, Relic remembers it though he takes his revenge subtly, using his mind rather then fangs and claws. To newcomers he wears an icy mask, separating himself from his pack until he knows he can trust someone. Once he's sure he can trust a wolf, Relic lets himself unwind a little. When he knows you, Relic can be charming and warm like a summer day, as peaceful and quiet as an open meadow. In opposition to that peaceful, intelligent leader some get to know, Relic is quite different to his enemies. For his enemies, Relic acts like he does with newcomers, icy and sharp, getting straight to the point whether that point is fighting or something else. He won't beat around the bush but instead will unleash all of his regal "high and mighty-ness" that he can muster. When enemies, his voice is sharp and defined but with his companions and packmates, Relic's voice can be warm like the sun and welcoming, full of charm. Those looking to cross Relic are advised against it because the brute is both physically strong and intelligent. To his friends however, Relic is always appearing content and calm. If you pay attention when he talks however, some might notice that he doesn't ever mention his heritage as one of the only remaining wolves related by blood to the famed wolfess Austrila.
Fears;; Failure and his great, great, great grandmother
Strengths;; Running and his powers
History;; Born into a royal linage, Relic was forced at an early age to live up to the expectations of his father, Thorn. He was one of four pups with his three other siblings being Yakarin, Minda and Kalrin. Being the eldest of them, Relic was chosen as his father's heir for when he passed on. Because of that fact, Relic's puphood was cut short. While his siblings were still learning little ways to control their powers, Relic was learning how to attack with his under his father's watchful eyes. From the time he was six months old, Relic seldom saw his siblings or mother because his father took him under his wing. Instead of playing and taking his powers slowly, Relic traveled around the territory with his father learning how to fight, defend, track and control. Relic always knew his powers were a disappointment to his father because Thorn had been a rather powerful fire user but sadly Relic got only light and his brother, Yakarin became a fire.
Unfortunately Relic could not pass on his rights as heir to his brother and both he and his father were forced to endure one another. Though their powers complimented, that didn't mean Relic took kindly to his father's methods. He was constantly longing to be with his siblings but was forced to be away from them, "to teach him independence." That was what his father claimed and for a year, Relic put up with it. Looking back, Relic forcibly admits that his father's lessons, though unorthodox, were good and he remembers them still.
Relic learned his true linage when he was about two years old. Thorn, growing old by this point, took Relic to the Mystic Caves beyond the borders of the Goldband. There, Thorn left him to be tested by his great-great-great grandmother. Like all questing wolves, Relic faced his grandmother and was told by her that he was to be her only remaining blood-pup. He was confused by this because he knew his siblings were still well and alive, as was Thorn whom was also a grand-pup of Austrila. Austrila merely sent him away and he went. At the entrance to her strange caves, Relic found Thorn. He discovered his father had died in his sleep.
When he returned to the packlands, Relic found his mother. Demanding to know where his siblings were, Relic followed Malyria to the bank of a small river running through the Goldband. There they found the graves of his siblings. Relic demanded to know why he'd not been told of their deaths but his mother simply said his grandmother had said for her to remain silent and that she had been forewarned of Thorn's death. From that point on, Relic took his father's place as the pack leader but keeps his distance from Austrila, fearing more prophecies of death to those close to him.
