These are open plains that stretch between the herdlands and packlands. With all the open space it is an ideal place for both wolves and horses when it comes time for large armies to meet on the battlefield. Some say that if you stand still and listen the wind will sound like the fighting howls and shrieking neighs of battling equines and wolves from long ago.
