Rules

General

• Respect all staff and members but please please please do not argue with staff.
  
• Keep all site contents PG-13. Blood isn't horrible but lets not have somebody's guts falling out. We don't need that kind of mental image.
  
• Feel free to have a green wolf and pink horse. This is a fantasy rpg, unusual colors and markings are more then welcome and in fact, encouraged. If you want your wolf to have an earring or collar of some sort that is also fine but I draw the line at wings unless given as a reward.
  
• I beg you, use the spell check, it is your friend. Grammar is also your friend, I suggest you get to know it. This site is literate and we appreciate good posts, not necessarily long posts but good posts.
  
• Keep the swearing to a low roar. I know sometimes it can't be avoided and that's fine but I don't want to see it every other word.
  
• Have a decent post-length, 150-200 words is fine. If you want to do 500 word posts that is a hundred percent fine, go for it but it isn't required so long as the posts don't contain chat-speak and have decent grammar and spelling.

Herds/Packs

• Herds can be started ONLY by a stallion. A mare can not lead the herd by herself and must have a lead stallion. If the lead stallion dies the mare MUST step down to a challenging stallion or take another mate. If an heir is old enough, the lead stallion's son may take over.
  
• Packs can be started ONLY by males but a female can continue to lead the pack alone if her mate dies. She may also take another mate or hand the pack off to her eldest son if she wants but an alphess can lead the pack without an alpha. Alphas however MUST start the pack.

Breeding

• No graphic breeding. Just have your stallion/male lead his girl off and that be the end of it.
  
• After you post to request stats for your young, please wait one week before posting the birth. That gives people a chance for adoptions and whatnot to go on before the pups/foal is born.
  
• Be aware that stallions/males under a dark alliance can force females/mares. Neutrals may or may not but lights can not. Do not forcebreed without consent from the female/mare's RPer.
  
• Female wolves can breed at two years old. Mares can breed at three years. Stallions can breed at three years and male wolves at three years.
  
• Twin foals are rare for equines but you can request twins if you feel the need. PM me and you'll get a task or something.
  
• Female wolves will give birth to 1-5 pups. If the female is forced, the mother may request all pups be stillborn. This is highly unlikely but you can still try. Be aware, the bigger the litter the smaller the pups tend to be with a higher likelihood of disabilities or low health as well as stillborns.

Elemental Powers

• You wolf/horse doesn't HAVE to have an elemental power. There is no shame in being powerless.
  
• Not every character is going to be perfect with their powers. Age will be a major factor in their skill. When you post a bio, the replying staff member will tell you the skill level your wolf/horse may have. Elderly characters tend to be very powerful but only for a short period of time while young wolves have little control and usually little power.
  
• Characters with opposing elements such as a fire and a water tend to feel a natural need to be away from each other, like the north end of a magnet and another north end, they'll simply avoid one another. This doesn't always have to be the case. Some fires might be soothed by a water's nearness which makes them usually long-lasting mates. It simply depends on the character.
