"For me my powers were developed out of forced necessity, pressed and pulled until they exploded out of control when I was young" Relic barked, looking at the trees behind him and remembering how he'd nearly blinded his father when Thorn had knocked him around until his powers reacted out of instinct to preserve his life. "It took years to rein them back in and build them back up because once your powers manifest if they aren't cared for they die or become unpredictable. I had to be where my powers were strongest so I could bring life to them again and take the care to develop them properly." Relic winced slightly at the memory of Thorn forcing his powers out. It had felt like his heart would explode from the fast pace, like his lungs burned and his fur was standing on end. It had been very unpleasant and nearly killed him because Thorn had done it all wrong. Powers either naturally manifested or they had to be teased out, tempted and tested like a shy animal.
Forcing them out was painful and nearly killed Relic's powers. To save them Relic had spent days upon days just laying in the sun in a clearing. One of his sisters had been a light elemental as well and come to him at night to help lend him heat and light to continue fostering his powers back to full health before Thorn had taken over his training again. It wasn't pleasant at all and Relic had a deep dislike of his father though he warily admitted he was very much like Thorn.
"Water elementals may be different. Your powers don't glow to reflect health but flow. It's like a second set of veins in your body. If the flow is disrupted I'd assume your powers become weaker. My powers almost went out and killed me but yours simply need to be strengthened." Relic turned his gaze back to Savoy. "I'd imagine if you practice precision with your powers and flow then your powers will get stronger and more controllable."

Savoy heard his words, instantly wanting to try presion with her powers. She felt the water under her paws seem to surge, shifting she orderd the water in the ground to back down.Savoy thought of what she could do,the tendriels could be a good thing to get better at.Setting this in her mind Savoy now stood. She took a deep breath before rembering that Relic didn`t like for her to use her powers for no reason. Was this useing them for no reason? She shook her head. She was going to get better.
"I am going to try to build a colum of water, you may want to stand back."Savoy cast a glance torward him before returning to what she was going to try to do.
Rasieing her right paw she slached it trhough the air, a tendril of water following after it.She halted her paw and placed it to the ground. Now useing her tail as a guide, she orderd the tendril to become a thick band of water.Than she orderd the band to twist around in the shape of a colum. She slowly drew out another band and joined it with the first, not haveing a half done small water colum. She drew another band out of the ground and joined it with the other two, she did this once more. She now had a colum of water in front of her.She turned a paw makeing the colum go into a flat canvas like thing.Than rested it opon the ground and let it sink in.
Turning torward Relic she wonderd if she had done a good job.But than she remberd what he had said about his powers.Shifting she knew that she hadn`t lost control, but still what if one of that bands had desided to turn into a twister of water, soon makeing the rest of the colum follow? Shiveirng she looked at the ground, where the water now lay.

Regarding his newest packmate with a neutral look in his mismatched eyes, Relic studied her form as she began trying to weave a column of water. Thumping his tail very lightly against the ground, Relic's gold and blue eyes watched as tendrils of water flowed up from the ground summoned from deep within the earth. He felt his mother's familiar distaste for the taking of water from the plants but he trusted Savoy to let the water return soon enough so he made no comment. Instead he watched as she wove them together to create a thicker single column hovering up out of the ground. Savoy's control of the water seemed to be fairly good by Relic's reckoning but he had little experience with water elementals so he was no true judge.
Still, the water was controlled, not flooding or not responding. What bothered him though was the fact that she required movements to make the liquid move or to summon it. His father had been able to summon flame with no motions, as had his brother. Relic remembered his mother calling up dormant seeds to sprout without motion and he himself had never required real motion to direct his powers to blind someone. Maybe it was just that she was a different element and water constantly moved? His light, Relic willed into being or summoned with his mind. Fire came from the belly, brought by the heat of the blood and the earth itself seldom moved or moved slowly. Water however, flowed and moved almost constantly so perhaps that was the reason?
"Can you use your powers without motion?" Relic asked, watching the liquid recede back into the earth from whence it had come. Turning his gaze from the land, Relic looked Savoy in the eye, flicking his ears curiously. "I don't know if it's just water's tendency to move but it seems like you should be able to summon things without motions of your paws or tail, simply with your mind and will."
It was really just a guess because Relic lacked experience with anything besides earth, fire and light but still, perhaps Savoy simply didn't have that level of control yet? Again he reminded himself that all elements were different. He couldn't generate the powerful heat of fire though his light was warm and he couldn't will a seed to sprout, only nourish it.

Savoy thought of what he said, 'Can you sue your powers without motion?`.She barely heard his other words as she thought of what to say, or do.She stood paceing around, she only came out of her odd thinking trance when she almost walked head on into a tree. Backing up and blinking raapidly she tried send away the water that came to her whenever she was surpised, afriad, or well just plain fearfull of something. The water tried to act as her defence system. She cast her tail to the right in a angrey motion, sending the water that had excaped from the earth back down. Shakeing her head from side to side she took another step back from the tree, hearing odd buzzing noices.Than they were gone.
Savoy sat now as far away from the tree as she could get and worked at the task at hand. She orderd a small drop of water to come to the air in her mind, the water droplet spperd but than only hoverd there for a few moments before splashing back to earth.Savoy tried agian this time ordering the droplet to stay in the air, it did than floated back to the ground. Now angerd Savoy orderd the droplet to stay in the air for a few seconds than hover above the ground than sink into it.The droplet did as she asked.Savoy now very happy, orderd two droplets to do as the first droplet had done, than realizeing the droplets were comeing out of the ground and sinking back in as she simply looked at the ground and imagend something small floating than going back to decay in the earth.Happy with her progress she orderd the droplets to stop.
"Like that?"Savoy said questionly, looking where her water creations had gone down into the earth. She turned back to Relic and walked over sitting before him"Water always moves but it can be thought to stand still. As can fire."

Watching with mild interest, Relic's gaze followed Savoy as she stood and paced, seemingly unaware of the old habit. Relic's gaze followed her back and forth, back and forth until...Bam. Wincing in sympathy when she wasn't looking, Relic allowed himself to smile. How many wolves concentrated or thought so hard they walked into a tree? Apparently Savoy did. She seemed so much younger then she probably was and it was amusing to watch her as she looked at the tree in seeming confusion. He'd bet a full sized buck she was hearing a nice ringing in her ears. Smirking behind her back, Relic watched her all the while, though he hoped the running into trees thing was just a rare occurrence, not something that she did every other second otherwise she'd have to get used to that ringing in her ears.
As he expected, she seemed to have trouble pulling up water, even in small quantities, without motion but it wasn't too horrible. Three tries and she could manage it well enough. It was a good step forward. Raising his gaze from the dispelled water, Relic leveled Savoy with his unusual gaze and flicked his ears, angling his head to one side. "Fire is summoned from the belly, the heat of the blood and heat of passion or rage. It requires no motions, only pure will to keep it lit. Water can pool in a cave and be unmoved for centuries if it is forgotten. All elements can be in motion and all can be still, even the wind. It's the strength of your mind that controls the element, allows it to be, it's your heart and passion that brings it to life to aide you."
Relic stared at the ground between them. A small flicker of light no bigger then a firefly came to life, floating as a perfect orb of light about a foot off the ground. It flickered dimly and emitted a soft glow like a drop of sunlight. "My light can be still or," the light began to circle both Relic and Savoy, "it can be in motion and yet, I haven't moved."
His paws were firm on the ground, his tail motionless behind him. Not an ear twitched, his gaze fixed on the light as it circled. Its light seemed to flicker in his molten gold eye, shimmering in his blue as it passed.

Savoy looked at the small bit of light, stareing in awe as it circled.Twisting her head she tried to watch it as it went.Unfortunatly that didn`t work very well so she just watched what the glow of light had become in front of her.Light was one of the most buetifull creations that a wolf could make, water was second, than earth, air, and so on. Fire was the last of that catagory, fire to her mind, was the most wreched power of all.But fire had been used badly agenst her, that could be why.She shifted to look as the creation seemed to keep growing. All elements seemed to have a element that was opposed agenst them, a element that worked well with, and a elemet that was sorta like theirs.Twisting her ears she srugged the thought off and turned to Relic.
