Personality;; Austrila is a mysterious character in more then one way. She communes equally with equines and wolves despite the fact that equines hate her and wolves fear her. This fear and hate does nothing to Austrila and she simply plays innocent when others ask why she brought the wolves to Lore. Because of her prophecies, that she sometimes won't share, Austrila is fearful to some because she can predict massacres and important deaths that no one would expect such as the death of her great great grandson, Thorn. She lives at a distance from the other animals in Lore but will grant their wishes if they complete her quests and deem themselves worthy of the powers she can grant them. Austrila finds amusement in those that come to her and teaches them lessons with her quests even if they don't always realize it. With equines her quests are no less difficult then for her own kind which throws them all for a loop. Austrila is not a hateful creature, nor does she usually use her powers to hurt others but she is very powerful. Her powers are the most potent and she contains the essence of each element within her though no one is really sure how. Her elemental binds are strong and make her a formidable foe though she has never joined the wolves during the wars with equines. She remains strangely neutral at all times, as if she's waiting. What she's waiting for, no one knows.

History;; Austrila's ancestry is unknown except that she led the northern wolves across the ocean to Lore. She did that by stilling the water with her water powers and then as they drew nearer she would freeze it so the wolves could walk on it though she never explained this to anyone. Upon reaching Lore, Austrila left her pack to fend for themselves against the equines and for the first few years she was content with her kind. They had done well in keeping peace but she knows it can not last. She could have stopped the young wolf from killing the equine but did not because she does not play with fate, only set it in motion. For all those years, she watched as wolves and equines fought but did nothing to stop it or help her kin despite her power. Because of this, wolves became bitter toward her, more vicious and angry but still Austrila did nothing.
She helps both canines and equines by granting them secondary powers but her true purposes in Lore are marginally unknown. Is she a savior? Perhaps she would kill them all? Austrila is actually preparing the way for something far more grand in Lore then just mortal wolves but first she must wait until the balance is made, the peace between equines and wolves. Needless to say, Austrila is ready to wait for a long time but to her this is a game she must win and is slowly setting her plans in motion through her great great great grandson Relic even though he is unaware of it.
