Personality;; Scarlet Letter is quite a character. She tends to be a bit wild and is very passionate about the things she takes part in such as herds or lovers, friends and family. Anything she thinks is worth putting time into, Scarlet throws everything into. Some say it'll leave her brokenhearted someday but for now Scarlet's not worried about that but instead is living for the moment. She lives for the thrill, the rush of a first love, the excited buzz of danger, anything that keeps things interesting. Her energetic personality is due partially to her powers as a fire, branding her as an active soul. Scarlet likes to have fun and be on the move, flirting and seducing any fine stallion she finds. This mare enjoys the company of the more brutish sex but has not born a single foal. She likes to flirt and play with their minds, wrapping them around her hoof with a bat of her lashes. Her bright personality makes her stand out and Scarlet knows it and enjoys it. She'll flaunt and strut in front of a stallion but play innocent to her actions when really she's looking for the perfect stallion to take as her mate, refusing any other. History;; Born in a smaller herd in the harsher wilderness of Lore, Scarlet Letter is the second daughter of Bloody Rose and Black Valentine. She favored her mother in appearance, taking her striking coloring but getting her star markings from her father. Scarlet's older sister, Midnight Passions strongly favors Valentine's appearance and was quickly a firm installment in Scarlet Letter's life. Scarlet and Midnight were close all throughout their younger years and it was no surprise when Scarlet showed a flare for flirting just like Midnight did. Scarlet learned most of her tricks from her sister before she was even a yearling filly. Of course, this pleased Midnight greatly because she knew she was winning Scarlet's attention away from their mother and father. Midnight was actually only Scarlet's half sister, born to Bloody Valentine and his first mate, Dark Passion. Midnight detested Bloody Rose for taking her father away from Dark Passion and had inherited her mother's sly and witty ways.
Sly as a fox, Midnight "seduced" her sister into thinking they were best friends and that Scarlet could fully trust her. Despite warnings, Scarlet did trust her sister and loved her dearly, seeing her as a model. Scarlet Letter followed Midnight almost everywhere, listening to all her sister's stories and lies, drinking them in like a tree's roots. When she was about two years old, Scarlet began to notice Midnight's stories changing. Instead of being about adventures and excitement, Midnight told Scarlet lies about Bloody Rose, calling her a seducer and liar, claiming she was a mate killer and had killed Dark Passion. Scarlet Letter became weary of her mother, closer to Midnight. One night, Midnight led Scarlet away from the herd, claiming they couldn't stay anymore because Bloody Rose wanted to kill Midnight. Willingly, Scarlet went with her, furious at her mother.
Three days later, Scarlet was seperated from Midnight in a deep fog bank. The last thing she remembers Midnight telling her was that she'd come and kill Scarlet someday because she was just a half-sister, the product of an affair against Midnight's mother. Scarlet panicked and ran but never forgot her sister's promise.
